Material performance
At present, there are two main methods for synthesis: one is chemical polymerization, and PLA can be obtained by direct condensation of lactate, or by ring opening polymerization of dimer lactide.
PLA is the most important biodegradable and environment-friendly polymer material in aliphatic polyester. Its monomer lactic acid can be produced on a large scale by fermenting corn and other food crops, so it can completely get rid of the dependence on petroleum resources.
PLA material has excellent biodegradability. In the natural environment, under the action of bacteria and water, it can be completely degraded into carbon dioxide and water, which is harmless to the environment and can completely solve the problem of "white pollution".
At the same time, PLA is a kind of thermoplastic polymer, which has the advantages of high strength and high modulus. It can be processed by traditional processing methods such as extrusion, molding, pouring molding, melt spinning, liquid spinning, blow molding and so on.
