Production Process

The PP spunbond production process on the YP-SS line follows a continuous, automated path from raw material to finished fabric roll:

Raw Material Feeding → Extrusion → Filtration → Metering → Double-Beam Spinning (Spinnerets) → Cooling → Stretching → Web Forming → Calendering → Winding & Slitting

The process begins with the dual-mode automatic feeding and mixing unit, which precisely doses PP raw material and recycled content through the co-extruder into the extruder. After heating and melting, the polymer passes through dual filtration units and metering pumps, which help control production capacity and fabric grammage.

The melt is then distributed through two coat-hanger-type spinning dies, where spinning components form continuous filaments. The filaments are cooled, drawn through the negative-pressure stretching system, and separated by the diffuser before being laid into a uniform double-layer web. The web is thermally bonded by the calender, then wound and slit into customer-specified roll widths.

Raw Material and Filament Quality

The production line is designed to process PP raw materials with a melt flow index (MFI) of 25–40. Color masterbatch, calcium carbonate (CaCO₃) filler at levels of up to 80%, and other additives can be incorporated as needed to meet colorfastness and performance requirements.

Filament fineness can be controlled within a range of 2–2.6 denier, enabling the production of spunbond fabrics with different strength and softness profiles for specific application requirements.
