1.Production technology
When manufacturing SMS Composite Nonwoven fabric by "one-step" process, the production line is configured with spinning system in the order of S-M-S, and the polymer is directly spun into a web. After the three-layer web is superimposed on the mesh belt of the same web forming machine, it becomes SMS products by corresponding consolidation method.At present, the most commonly used consolidation equipment is hot rolling mill.

2.Performance and characteristics of SMS non-woven fabric
The uniformity of products is the basic performance requirement of SMS composite nonwoven fabrics. Usually, the more spinning systems, the better the uniformity of the product.Other performance indicators of SMS products are related to the purpose of the products and similar to the requirements of melt blown products, mainly including air permeability, barrier performance (hydrostatic pressure), etc.
Permeability or barrier is the basic function of medical and health products. The permeability or barrier of SMS products mainly depends on the permeability or hydrostatic pressure of M-layer products. Therefore, the main factors affecting the permeability or barrier are the linear density (fineness) and uniformity of M-layer products and the quantification of M-layer fiber mesh.
The S layer mainly protects and strengthens the M layer to prevent the m layer from being worn and the structure from deformation or damage under the action of external force. Of course, the better the uniformity of S layer and the smaller the size, the more obvious its supporting and protective effect on m layer, which will have a better effect on improving the hydrostatic pressure of SMS products. When the fiber fineness of S-layer fiber mesh is close to that of M-layer fiber mesh, it can even be used instead of M-layer fiber mesh.
In SMS composite products, the greater the proportion, quantity or number of layers of layer M, the better its hydrostatic pressure or barrier performance.
For the same proportion or quantitative m layer, the finer the size, the better the uniformity or the greater the quantitative s layer, the better the hydrostatic pressure or barrier performance.

In the production of one-step SMS Composite Nonwoven fabric, because the multi-layer fiber web is only hot rolled once, the hand feel of the product is relatively soft; At the same time, because the product is formed in one step on the nonwoven production line, the width is accurate, the coil length is easy to control and the loss is low; Direct spinning with melt into a net is not easy to be polluted, and the hygienic conditions of the product are also good.
