Nonwoven, also known as non-woven fabric, is composed of directional or random fibers. It is a new generation of environmental protection materials. It has the characteristics of moisture-proof, breathable, flexible, light, non combustion supporting, easy decomposition, non-toxic and non irritating, rich colors, low price, recyclable and so on. For example, polypropylene (PP) pellets are mostly used as raw materials, which are produced by continuous one-step production of high-temperature melting, wire spraying, wire laying and hot pressing coiling. It is called cloth because it has the appearance and some properties of cloth.

Medical non-woven fabric
Medical non-woven products are medical and health textiles made of chemical fibers, including polyester, polyamide, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), polypropylene, carbon fiber and glass fiber.
Including disposable masks, protective clothing, surgical clothes, isolation clothes, experimental clothes, nurse hats, surgical hats, doctor hats, surgical bags, maternity bags, first aid kits, diapers, pillowcases, tablecloths, bed sheets, quilt covers, shoe covers and other disposable medical consumables series.
Compared with traditional pure cotton woven medical textiles, medical nonwovens have the characteristics of high filtration of bacteria and dust, low surgical infection rate, convenient disinfection and sterilization, easy composite with other materials and so on.
Medical nonwovens, as disposable products, are not only convenient to use, safe and hygienic, but also can effectively prevent bacterial infection and iatrogenic cross infection. In China, the investment in the medical and health industry has reached more than 100 billion yuan, of which the total output value of sanitary products and materials has reached about 64 billion yuan, and is developing in the direction of diversification.
2. Quality standard requirements for medical non-woven fabrics: medical non-woven fabrics used for final packaging materials of sterilized medical devices shall meet the specification requirements of GB / t19633 and YY / t0698.2 at the same time.
3. The validity period of non-woven fabrics: the validity period of medical non-woven fabrics is generally 2 ~ 3 years. The validity period of products from different manufacturers is slightly different. Please refer to the instructions for use. For sterile articles packaged with medical non-woven fabrics, the validity period should be 180d and will not be affected by sterilization methods.

5. When packaging surgical instruments with medical non-woven fabrics, the closed packaging method shall be adopted. Two layers of non-woven fabrics shall be packaged twice. Repeated folding can form a long bending path to prevent microorganisms from "easily" entering the sterilization package. Two layers of non-woven fabrics cannot be packaged once.
6. After high-temperature sterilization, the internal results of medical non-woven fabrics will change, affecting the penetration and bacteria resistance of sterilization medium. Therefore, medical non-woven fabrics shall not be sterilized repeatedly.
7. Due to the hydrophobic performance of non-woven fabrics, too many and heavy metal instruments are sterilized at high temperature, and condensate is formed during cooling, which is easy to produce wet bags. Therefore, water absorbing materials shall be padded in the large instrument package, the loading capacity of the sterilizer shall be appropriately reduced, a gap shall be left between the sterilization packages, and the drying time shall be appropriately extended to avoid wet packages as far as possible.

10. Refer to the qualified inspection report and product batch inspection report provided by the manufacturer, and accept the physical and chemical properties of medical non-woven fabrics to ensure the quality of products.
For the management of medical non-woven fabrics, the manufacturer is responsible for the production quality of medical non-woven fabrics, the hospital equipment department and the infection office are responsible for the qualification review and quality acceptance of products, and the personnel in the supply room are responsible for the packaging quality of sterilized articles. And ensure the sterilization quality of medical non-woven fabrics from many aspects.
